A good 12V replacement for our Flatties.

! The threads of the retaining screws are larger ( 5/16"-24). You can use the appropriate Allen retaining screws (1523-58A), but you will need to drill out the two holes in the flathead control cover.

TIP! To continue using the original retaining screws, simply use 1/4"-24 repair thread inserts. These can be inserted into the 5/16"-24 threads without drilling or cutting.

! You need the oil deflector, late style (31035-58).

The drive wheel is bolted on, not pinned . We'll include a 5/16"-24 self-locking nut.

TIP! After tightening the drive pulley, cut off the excess thread stub. Otherwise, it will get caught on the housing when removing the alternator, and the alternator will not be able to be lifted out.
